TREKKING: AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON – PUNO (3D/2N) GROUP SERVICE

Great Trip: Pick up from your hotel depending on the location, to move to the Colca Valley, to Chivay where there will be a stop for breakfast and continue the journey to the viewpoint of the Cruz del Condor from this famous viewpoint.

FIRST DAY: AREQUIPA/CABANACONDE/SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO

From 02:50h. to 03:15h. Pick up from the hotel and visit the Cruz del Condor viewpoint. Then, we will continue our journey to the Colca River and cross the Hanging Bridge of San Juan de Chuccho, followed by basic accommodation in the Bungalows.

DAY 2: SAN JUAN / SANGALLE (OASIS)

After breakfast, we will ascend approximately 300 meters. Arrival at Cosñirhua and then Malata; Sangalle(Oasis) and the second night in bungalow cabins.

DAY 3: OASIS / CABANACONDE / CHIVAY / PUNO

At 05:00h., the ascent will begin. We will visit the Antahuilque viewpoint, the town of Maca, and the Choquetico viewpoint, and then return to Chivay to transfer to the City of Puno.

ITINERARY:

FIRST DAY:

From 02:50h. to 03:15h. Pick up from your hotel depending on the location, to transfer to the Colca Valley, to Chivay, where we will stop for breakfast and continue the journey to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint. From this famous viewpoint, you have one of the most impressive views of the Colca Canyon, and you can see the breathtaking flight of the condors. Then, we will continue to Cabanaconde, where we will start our trek, descending into the canyon, which will take us approximately 3 ½ to 4 hours.

To reach the Colca River, where we can rest, once at the bottom of the canyon, we will cross the Hanging Bridge of San Juan de Chuccho, arriving at the village of the same name, where we will have lunch and spend the night, in bungalow houses, adapted to serve tourists (basic accommodation). At 18:00h. dinner and overnight.

SECOND DAY:

At 07:30h., breakfast in San Juan de Chuccho to start our journey. We will ascend approximately 300 meters to reach the villages, first Cosñirhua and then Malata, where you will appreciate the way of life of the people. Again, we will descend to Sangalle (oasis), where, thanks to a spring of warm water, you can currently enjoy a refreshing bath in the pools located in this beautiful place (the water has a temperature of approximately 18ºC). We will have lunch and spend the second night in bungalow cabins, adapted to serve tourists (basic accommodation). Dinner and overnight at 19:00h.

THIRD DAY:

At 05:00h., the ascent will begin, following a zigzagging and quite steep path, but after approximately 3 hours, we will have breakfast in a local restaurant and then take the transport to the Antahuilque viewpoint, where we can observe the terracing of the Colca Valley. We will also visit the town of Maca and the Choquetico viewpoint.

Return to Chivay, having the opportunity to visit the La Calera hot springs and enjoy the relaxing thermal waters. Lunch and arrival in Puno at 19:30h. and transfer to hotels.
