ITINERARY:

FIRST DAY: PRIVATE AND GROUP: CHECK INN – CITY TOUR COUNTRYSIDE.

At the indicated time, transfer from the bus station or Airport to the Hotel in private service. In the afternoon 04:00h. We begin our tour on the “Panoramic Bus”. Our first stop will be the Yanahuara district where you can appreciate the portals that have various engravings and its Church, which is very traditional. Then we head to the Cayma district towards the Mirador de Carmen Alto, from there you can see the terraces of the place. Later we will move to Incalpaca where there is a small mini zoo where you will be able to appreciate the 04 South American camelids that are the Alpaca, the Vicuña, the Llama and the Guanaco. SECOND DAY: IN A GROUP: AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON.

After breakfast at the Hotel, 07:30h. to 08:00 a.m. Pickup from your Hotel in Arequipa. We begin our trip to one of the deepest and most beautiful canyons in the world. Our trip lasts approximately 4 hours to reach the main town of Chivay, making tourist stops along the way. We will pass through the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, where we can appreciate the vicuñas, the main camelid that lives in the area, after which we will visit Patahuasi very close by to drink the traditional coca tea, a traditional drink essential for altitude sickness. (mountain sickness). Later we will make a small stop at the Toccra Bofedales where we will observe a large number of Alpacas grazing freely in the area. A mandatory stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point on the road that reaches 4800 meters above sea level, from where we will appreciate a large part of the western mountain range. From this point we begin the descent towards the town of Chivay, arriving in approximately 40 minutes.

Buffet lunch in Chivay. Then we will settle in our respective hotels. During the afternoon we can enjoy a relaxing bath in the Hot Springs whose thermo-medicinal waters range between 35º C to 40º C in temperature in the pools. Night in Chivay

THIRD DAY: IN A GROUP: CROSS DEL CONDOR VIEWPOINT - AREQUIPA

06:00 Breakfast at the Hotel and pick up from the Hotel at 06:30 to go to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint, a strategic observation point of the canyon and the spectacular flight of the condor. On the way back we will stop in the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque; which have beautiful colonial churches, as well as the Chocotico and Antahuilque viewpoints, from where we will observe the impressive terraces of the valley, the tombs and pre-Inca models. 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Arrival in the city of Arequipa. Night accommodation in Arequipa.

FOURTH DAY: IN A GROUP: SALINAS AND MINIVOLCAN OF LOJEN FULL DAY.

06:00h. We begin the pick-up from your hotels in the city center.

07:30h. Our first visit will be at the Mirador de los Volcanes in the Chiguata district; which we will arrive in an average of 45 minutes; where we will have our breakfast.

We will be able to observe the representative volcanoes of the city of Arequipa. Later we will be arriving at the town of Chiguata and we will visit its main square where its traditional Espíritu Santo Church is located. In this place we will enjoy a traditional breakfast from the area.

Then we will continue with our journey and make a stop at Alto Simbral (4200 meters above sea level) where we can observe plants from the area such as Queñua, Yareta, Tola, etc.

10:00 a.m. Continuing our tour we will arrive at the Salinas Lagoon where we will make different stops to observe flamingos, parihuanas, reflecting pools (from January to March), sightings of vicuñas, llamas and alpacas (all year round). In the dry season (April to December) we will visit the salt extraction centers where imagination is essential to take spectacular photographs.

11:00 a.m. Afterwards we will go to the Lojen Minivolcano and its Hot Springs to enjoy a relaxing bath.

We will visit the Uzuña dam located in the Polobaya district in Arequipa. In this place we can enjoy the natural landscape, carry out activities such as:

Boat or kayak ride.

2:00 p.m. We will pass through the Characato district where we will have our lunch.

5:00 p.m. Arrival in the city and we will leave you near the Plaza de Armas. Night in Arequipa.

FIFTH DAY: IN A GROUP: PILLONE FALLS AND STONE FORESTS TOUR

06:00h. We will begin the tour by picking up each passenger from their hotels to take the road to Yura and leave the city of Arequipa.

As a first point, we will visit the town of Pampa de arrieros where we will find one of the old train stations, very important in colonial times, we will take a short walk to see its church and old buildings.

Second point of the route we will enter the Salinas and Aguada Blanca Reserve, we will visit the vicuña viewpoint, this animal is protected by the state and belongs to the camelid family.

As a third point we will visit Patahuasi, here we can have breakfast and we recommend that you try the Inca mate, it has 3 herbs such as coca leaf, muña and chachacoma, very good for the altitude, we will also observe the castles of Patahuasi, which are natural formations where If you are a good observer, you can recognize a toad in the stone forest.

As a fourth point, we will go to the town of Imata adjacent to Puno, the mobility will leave us at a point where we will begin the walk down a ravine and walking along the river bank until we reach the Pillone waterfall and then we will visit the stone forest of Imata is also considered an energy point and we will appreciate different figures in the rocks that were formed by erosive forces such as wind and rain.

SIXTH DAY: PRIVATE AND GROUP: SILLAR AND shingles ROUTE – CHECK OUT

08:30 a.m. - 09:00 a.m. In this period of time we pick up from your Hotel in Arequipa.

We begin our journey towards the Sillar Route, which is a tourist route with a lot of history and living culture, where we visit quarries and areas where the ashlar originated. The first point we will stop at will be the Añashuayco Quarry; which we will arrive in approximately 45 minutes.

It is currently in operation, the stonemasons carry out their work very early; In the place we can see an immense canyon with cliffs (ignimbrite walls) that are several meters high, formed by the extraction for the formation of the Ashlars. At this point we will tell you the history of ashlar, its production and the use that has always been given to it.

In this quarry you can see a Megacarving of the Church of the Company of Jesus made by the stonemasons themselves. We can also visit one of them so that they can explain to us what their daily work is like and they can make us experiment by cutting one of their stone blocks ourselves.

Next we will move to the Quebrada de Culebrillas, which is 30 minutes away from Añashuayco. Arriving at this point we will take a walk of approximately 20 minutes inside the small canyon that was formed by the passage of water, which has walls of 15 to 20 meters. As we enter it, the walls of the canyon increase in height.

At the end of the walk we will be able to see petroglyphs with descendants of the Wari culture more than a thousand years ago. Before returning to the city we will observe the Apachetas, which are stone formations placed one on top of the other that are a symbol of gratitude towards nature and also an attraction of good luck which cause a mystical sensation.
